Facility Overview
The Center for Continuing Education, with its curves and breadth, was designed with the concept of being the point where the past and future of Nara meet; its location is between the historical old town and the planned Silk Road Town 21 in front of JR Nara Station.
The Center is a place for the citizens of Nara to enjoy studying and learning at as long as they wish. In addition to gathering, offering, and transmitting information about continuing education, the Center provides numerous courses and events.

Ground floor
- Studio 1*
- This soundproof room is ideal for chorus rehearsals, instrumental music practice, or even rock & roll.(Area100.0m2 Capacity30people)

- Traditional dance, aerobics, contemporary dance, gymnastics, and other such activities can be practiced here.(The room has a mirror and a rail for stretching.)

- This is where visitors to the Center can relax.

- This room is ideal for exhibiting paintings, calligraphy, arts and crafts, learning achievements, etc.
- Learning Information Area
- The latest information about programs, events, and the educational facilities are available here at the touch of the computer’s display. It’s easy and fast.
- Reading Area
- Books and magazines about continuing education can be found here.

- This room is used for consultations regarding continuing education. (Area 10.5m2)
- Nursery
- The nursery is available for those persons using the Center who need their children looked after.(Area57.5m2)

Days the Center Is Closed
Mondays and holidays. (When Monday is a holiday, the Center is closed on the following day). Closed from December 26 to January 5.
Using the Facilities
- Time
Morning (9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.)、Afternoon (1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.)、Evening (6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.)
- Advanced Reservations
Facilities can be reserved from one day to two weeks in advance (the Gallery can be reserved up to three months in advance).
- Reservations Time
Reservations can be made between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. when the Center is open.
- Procedure
To make a reservation, fill out the facility reservation form and submit it to the office.

Direction to the Center
From JR Kintetsu Nara Station, take a circulating bus or a bus bound for Sharp, Shiratsuchi, and Ouji. From the direction of *Kodono, take a bus bound for Takabatake and Kasuga Shrine, and get off at Omori-cho. From there it is three minutes on foot.

The Nara Center for Continuing Education offers an information system that aims to make it easy for you to continue learning for your entire lifetime. All the information you need to learn more about continuing education is available and accessed easily by computer.
What kind of information is available?
Courses, facilities, groups, audiovisual learning materials, cultural properties, and so on.
Even information about program instructors is available on the study advisory terminals.
Where is information available?
- Information is available at any of the five public terminals located in the city.(5)・・・
They can be found at the Center, the Chuo Public Hall, the Seibu Public Hall, the Citizens' Hall on the first floor of City Hall, and at the Naramachi Center.
- Study advisory terminals(24)・・・
are located in the Center, City Hall's Social Education Section and Athletics Section, and the 21 Public Halls.
How do they work?
