06 25Nara Post Office (former) newly built in Kamisanjo-cho
1915 07 −First city directory, focused mainly on statistics, published
1916 02 −The cemetery and cremation facilities at Byakugouji (formerly Toichi Village) loaned to the city for 20 years and reconstructed
11 27 Ground breaking ceremony held for construction of waterworks project at source in Kaseyama, Kizu, Kyoto
1919 02 15Public market established in Teramachi at site of Taishoza
1920 10 011st National Population Census conducted (Nation's population is 76.99 million, Nara's is 41,054)
1922 09 30Waterworks project completed, city water made available
10 12Heijo Palace ruins (about 1/3 of today's) designated historical landmark
1923 04 01 Saho Village in Soekami district (305 households, population 1,616) incorporated into Nara
10 01Public market established in Nakamikado-cho
1925 08 01Municipal housing offered for rent (71 homes constructed in Zoushi, Kankoku, Kidera, Jurinnin, and Takabatake)
