Toshodai-ji Temple(Keizo & Houzo in Azekura style)

By Mamoru Nanjyou

When I look at this solemn golden hall, the two Azekura style buildings by the Reido look peaceful. Azekura style, was made in the vertical and horizontal, and the trees growing freely around it add a nice symmetry. It impresses upon me the harmony of art and nature. This fugurative style of temple has fascinated people's minds for 1,300 years. When I was sketching at the shrine, I was thinking what the dreams of the people from that time were.
