The spacious Nara Palace Site is the epitomy of Nara. When I think of this Nara palace in this spacious land a long time ago, I become very impressed with it. When I decided to sketch this theme, I absolutely wanted to sketch the Kasugayama also. So, I sketched the outlook from the Saidai-ji. The Kasugayama was blue and the color seemed to blend into the Nara Palace Site. I imagined the ancient people also looked at this scene. When I finished the painting, I named it " Nara Palace Site with a dash of blue".
