Takisaka Path

Takisaka Path

By Hiroshi Okazaki

The Takisaka path heads east from the Haishi-cho bus stop. It passes the Shin Yakushi-ji and the Yagyuu Kaido temples through to Takahata-cho. After that, it passes the stone cave of Buddha, the Jigokudani, the tea stores, the Hachiman Shrine, and the Ensei-ji Temple can all be seen from the path. You can enjoy each place's characteristic. Especially the Yagyuu Kaido with it`s stone paved path which runs along the mountain stream. When you walk the Takisaka path in the Kasuga Primeval forest, it feels cool even in the middle of summer. I feel the old history on the stone pavement path.
